A Summary Of Our Attorney’s Experience And Practice Areas
Peter E. Gruenstein earned his law degree from The George Washington University, with honors, in 1973. He has been in private practice since 1987. In his long career as a trial lawyer in Alaska, Mr. Gruenstein has been lead attorney in more than 75 jury trials. His practice emphasizes personal injury law, antitrust law, public pension law, health care law, wrongful termination, and business and commercial litigation.
Mr. Gruenstein has received the highest Martindale-Hubbell rating of AV Preeminent* from his peers.
Daniel W. Hickey, a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center, has been practicing law in Alaska since 1972. He served as district attorney for Juneau from 1973 to 1975 and Alaska’s chief prosecutor from 1975 to 1985 and has been in private practice since leaving that position.
Mr. Hickey’s practice emphasizes work on behalf of individuals injured by the negligence of others, as well as business and commercial litigation, health care law, wrongful termination, professional malpractice and white collar crime.
Brian T. Duffy received his B.A. from Loyola College in Maryland and his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law. Brian routinely addresses the commercial, corporate and real estate issues that impact small to mid-sized businesses, ranging from multi-state transactions and disputes to local issues unique to rural Alaska. He maintains an active transactional real estate and commercial law practice.
John Havelock, emeritus attorney, attended Harvard Law School. He is among the most senior lawyers in Alaska handling landmark work in public policy and constitutional law, while at the same time sharing with Mr. Duffy a concern for the problems and disputes of ordinary people and small businesses. His background in state affairs allowed him to forge a team to address complex problems that confront some larger organizations.
